Climbing Gym Review

Elevating the indoor climbing experience through critical assessment and recognition of excellence.

For Climbers…

World-wide Gym Listings

Every climbing gym on the planet will be found in CGR.

Search by location, overall rating, specific features, types of climbing, quality of routes and boulder problems, and more.

Looking for plenty of auto-belays, comp-style setting, or a specific training board? You can find the gym that fits your priorities.

Rewards for your feedback

When you complete an anonymous review you will not only be helping the gym give you a better experience in the future, you’ll get a reward in return.

From free day passes to credit towards a current membership, you’ll get a reward that thanks you for giving the gym the critical feedback it needs to do better.

Climbing gyms don’t exist without climbers. For a long time gyms have been able to get away with the “if you built it, they will come” philosophy.

Today, our indoor climbers have many more options and we expect a higher level of service and facilities than what was considered acceptable just a decade or two ago.

Climbing Gym Review will empower climbers to give the feedback gyms need in order for them to provide their customers with the best experience possible.

For Gyms…

The Gym Manager Dashboard

The dashboard will be the focal point for the gym manager/owner where reviews from your customers are converted into insights and actionable data.

The dashboard will present highly complex information in an easy to understand manner so you know where to focus your efforts and resources. The ability to filter the results by customer type and date ranges will allow you to better understand trends and to find the pain-points of your different customer segments.

Compare Multiple Gyms and Regions

If you have multiple locations under one company, you can view one location’s standings compared to your overall company results. This helps you find which locations need help in order to maintain your high company standards.

Also, whether you run a single-location gym or a larger multi-facility company, you’ll be able to compare your gym versus the combined ratings of other gyms in your region. This will let you know where you’re doing better than the average gym and where you’re falling short.

Review Verification

Bogus reviews can be very harmful to any company’s reputation. A bad review from someone that’s either never been to the gym before or hasn’t been there in a long time erodes the confidence in the review system.

As part of the manager dashboard, the gym will verify the validity of each review by cross-referencing the name and last visit date of the climber. This will make sure the climber actually visited the gym and allow the manager to allocate the reward to the climber’s account.

Separately, the results of reviews will be delivered to the dashboard in delayed aggregate batches, thus separating the individual reviewer’s identity from the feedback they give.

Reward Selection and Allocation

Gyms will be able to determine the most appropriate reward they wish to give to various customer types.

A first-time or occasional visitor might be best served by receiving a free day-pass for a return visit. However, a long-time member doesn’t need a day-pass and might be happiest with a $20 credit they can use for snacks, a new gym t-shirt, or to put towards their membership.

With our guidance, you will be able to provide meaningful rewards to your customers in exchange for their most gracious offering to you, their time to give you honest and objective feedback.

There’s a peculiarity in human nature where people are hesitant, or completely reluctant, to give honest and critical feedback. Even good friends won’t tell you what isn’t going well or needs attention.

Because the reviews are completely anonymous to the gym, the CGR process allows climbers to be honest and forthright in telling the gym they love that some aspect of the business needs improvement.

We hope you have an idea of what Climbing Gym Review will offer to the indoor climbing community and will join us on our journey.

We are currently offering an annual subscription for our early adopters – one for climbers and one for gyms.
